Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE’s premier automobile dealerships, has expanded its network with a new showroom and after-sales facility in Fujairah, the largest in its network.

The 120,400 square feet facility will represent Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover brands in the eastern emirate.

The showroom has a substantive spare parts department, a workshop, an interactive area for customers and a dedicated area for approved pre-owned vehicles.

“The opening of our first facility on the UAE’s east coast underlines our commitment to increase our footprint in the Emirates and provide customers with the choice of owning popular name-plates from some of the world’s best automotive brands,” said Ashok Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, Al Tayer Motors.

“The showroom and after-sales facility has been built to accommodate the growth potential in the emirate for the medium to long term future. With this brand new capability we are now well placed to serve the requirements of its residents.”

The facility utilises many environmentally-friendly technologies. It uses natural sunlight for internal lighting through the use of skylights in place of artificial lighting, thereby reducing the heat load on the air-conditioning system. Lux sensors ensure that lights only come on when the level of lighting is lower than required and LED lighting units throughout the facility enable lower energy consumption.

The external glass used for the showroom is of a high performance grade, which helps reduce heat entering the facility, leading to low power consumption for air conditioning, when compared with ordinary glass.
The air conditioning system is designed to optimise the intake of fresh air and uses carbon dioxide sensors to monitor the quality of the air being circulated.

The use of eco-friendly technologies has been extended to conserve energy and reuse water. Sixty per cent of the water consumed in the car wash is recycled, purified and reused using a state-of-the-art water recycling plant. Waste oils collected from the cars are also recycled.

Building Management Systems are also being employed throughout the facility to optimise control of electrical and mechanical systems efficiently.

The showroom, located opposite the Ajman University of Science & Technology campus, is open from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm on weekdays.
