The UAE Ministry of Community Development, MoCD, and the Fujairah Welfare Association, FWA signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, for empowering and reintegrating people of determination.

Sana Mohammed Suhail, Under-Secretary at MoCD, and Ali bin Abbad Al Abdooli, Director-General of FWA, signed the agreement with officials from both sides in attendance.

As per the agreement, the ministry will furnish the charity with a list of the names of the needy people of determination residing in the emirate of Fujairah to fulfil their distinct needs.

The ministry will also renew this list on a regular basis to ensure that all the needs of the enlisted individuals are fully met. The charity, in turn, will inform the ministry about emergency cases of people of determination that need instant intervention. The two parties also agreed to exchange expertise in areas of mutual interest.

"This agreement is aimed at helping people of determination lead a dignified life and turn them into a productive workforce," said Suhail, adding, it is also a part of our efforts to form partnerships with the different social organisations that work in community development and humanitarian services across the country.

"It falls under the umbrella of the UAE Vision 2021 and the UAE Government Strategy 2021 with regard to providing Emirati families with integrated support and upgrading our works from social welfare to social development," she added.
